Murugha Mutt Pontiff Shivamurthy Murugha Sharana who was denied permission to go to Bengaluru for treatment, remanded in police custody, was interrogated throughout the day by investigating officers.
After being granted custody of the seer by the court the police took him for medical examination and samples were taken for various tests at the district hospital before taking him to the Dy. SP office. He was questioned till midnight.
On the next day the officials resumed the interrogation seeking answer from him on various aspects based on the statements by the minor girls.
The bail application was filed and is likely to come up before the court on Monday. The police custody ends on Monday and he is to be produced before the court on that day.
Karnataka Home Minister Shri Araga Jnanendra said that the Government would not interfere in the ongoing probe in connection with POCSO case registered against Murugha Sharana.
Speaking to media persons he said, it is too early to make any comment on the outcome of the probe.
