Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Mr. Nitin Gadkari has taken seriously the non providing of 6 airbags to the cars manufactured in India, he questioned, the manufacturers when they are providing 6 airbags even in low price budget cars in foreign countries, why can’t they follow the same in India. Hence, the process of making it mandatory providing 6 airbags in India also.

The road accidental death of former president of Tata sons, Cyrus Mistry has caused serious concerned about safety of road traffic and manufacturing of cars. It is also said by the minister in his address to IAA global conference that without the cooperation of public at large, it is not possible to avoid road accidents.

Expressed his dissatisfaction he said, let alone common man even 4 chief ministers who travelled with him in a car also did not wear seat belts. When seat belt is not used there is an alarm in the car, to stop that alarm the driver planted a clip.

An airbag costs Rs.900, so the providing of 6 airbags is not a big issue. There can be no compromise at the cost of the safety.
