Chief Minister Bommai said the government has decided to constitute a new pay commission in October, for revising the pay scale of government employees.
Speaking at a function organised by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms in banquet hall of Vidhana Soudha, in connection with the presentation of Sarvottama Seva Awards, he said the government would respond positively to all demands of employees. Similarly government employees should respond to common people’s pains and sufferings by adopting technical knowledge according to time.
A government order has been issued to cover the government employees under the ‘Arogya Sanjeevani’ scheme.
The Chief Minister presented ‘Sarvottama Seva’ awards to 30 employees for their best service. The award includes a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.
Speaking about the punyakoti scheme, to encourage public to adopt cattle for cow shelters. Chief Minister said there are over one lakh cows in various goshalas for adoption. A special website has been created for this purpose. A sum of Rs. 11,000 is fixed for the adoption of a cow for one year and the picture of the adopted cow would appear on the website.
He said that, he has adopted 100 cows requested his ministerial colleagues to do the same. He appealed the government employees too to adopt cows.
