Chief Minister Mr. Bommai made it clear that the Government has seriously considered the border dispute between Karnataka-Maharashtra and will strongly defend the stand of the state. Very experienced and skilled legal experts who know the subject in detail will be appointed as advocates in the Supreme Court to argue the case.
Mr. Bommai said, he had discussed the issue with the Advocate General and had given the instructions. Including senior advocate Mr. Divan a team of senior counsels/experts is concentrating and making preparations to make it effective.
The Maharashtra government has already started preparations to present a competent argument in the Top Court, but the border kannadigas expressed outrage over the neglect of the state government in the border issue.
