Aavin’s milk products, which are popular among the public, are prepared from milk procured from around 4.5 lakh rural milk producers. Aavin manufactures milk and 225 types of milk products in a hygienic manner with the same objective of quality through 27 units located across the state and provides them to the consumers at reasonable prices. Aavin has been the pioneer of Tamil Nadu in selling milk for more than 40 years. Through this, Aavin helps improve the economy of lakhs of milk producers at the village level in a big way. At this stage, the following special sweets are launched for sale on the occasion of Ayudha Puja and Diwali.
On the occasion of Ayudha Puja and Diwali, Aawin launched nine new varieties of sweets on 17th September. In this case, Aavin company has set a target to sell sweets worth 200 crore rupees for the upcoming Diwali. As the festive season has begun, Aavin has launched nine new sweets namely Ghee Badusha, Nuts Halwa, Motibag, Kaju Pista Roll, Kaju Kadli, Assorted Sweets, Ghee Alva, Karupatti Alva and Mixer. All these sweets are made with quality pure Aavin Akmark ghee. Karupatti Alva is produced in Virudhunagar Union and Ghee Alva in Tirunelveli Union Dairy Farm. All these have been made available to the general public at retail prices in more than 10,000 sales outlets across Tamil Nadu, selected places like markets, road junctions, bus stands etc. and through special sales centers. In this case, Dairy Minister Avadi Nasser has said that Aavin has set a target of selling sweets worth 200 crore rupees for Diwali this year. Minister Avadi Nasser today inspected the arrangements for sweet production and packaging work at Ambattur Aavin Dairy Farm, where nine types of sweets are to be made. Speaking to the media, Minister Nassar said, “According to the order of the Chief Minister, 6 sweets were introduced last year. In this case, nine types of sweets have been introduced this year. Last year, Aavin’s products were sold for 82 crore 24 lakh rupees. This year, the target has been set to sell sweets for 200 crore rupees,” he said.
