The clay seed Ganesh Campaign organised by Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava, Shree Vidyaranya Yuvaka Sangha in association with the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board and Rotary Bangalore Parisara claimed to have set a new Guinness Record for the most number of people sculpting with modelling clay simultaneously on Sunday at National College Grounds in Basavanagudi.

The Campaign saw over 3,000 people of various age groups and from different professions. Idol making materials such as clay, sculpting popsickle sticks, plant seeds and water were provided at the venue. Many professionals assisted the participants.

Seed plants like tulasi, ashwagandha, sunflower and other flowering plants were provided for embedding within the idols. QR Codes were allotted to individual idols.

They planned it to create awareness about environmental pollution. The clay idols which were made can be planted in a pot after Ganesh Visarajna, which will turn into plants.

The campaign joined hand and made 3,308 idols breaking its previous record of 2138 idols.
