Leading a satisfied and happy life is an art, and everyone should work towards realizing their dreams without wasting a single minute, said Dr. P.S. Shankar, professor emerita of medicine, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
Speaking after releasing the book Life is mysterious: ‘A way to live, a way to die’ written by Dr. Rajan Deshpande in Dharwad, he said death is inevitable, it is important to enjoy every moment of life meaningfully.
He added, simple living and positive thinking are the main reasons to stress free and happy life.
Expressing his concern over increasing tendency to commit suicide especially among the youngsters, Dr. Shankar said the parents should not pressure their children to obtain high marks and high salary/perk. In the process of achieving this,the children lose interest towards their passions, which will lead to depression and in extreme cases end with suicide.
