Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has set up a ‘citizen’s grievances redressal cell’ in every ward following the Hon’ble Karnataka High Court Order to establish cells to address the grievances of citizens affected by the heavy rains and flood situation in so many areas.
The High Court directed the BBMP immediately to establish cells to address the grievances of people affected by the heavy rains and flood in the city, soon after that the civic body published the list of assistant engineers, assistant executive engineers and executive engineers of all the words and eight zones’ contact numbers on the BBMP website (www.bbmp.gov.in).
In a notification, BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath said, the public may file their grievances either in verbal or written to the concerned officer in the ward office.
Anyway, the BMC has failed to issue an updated list of ‘citizens grievances redressal cell’ for the newly formed 243 wards. Tushar Girinath said the civic body will update the list soon.
Initially, as per the direction of the court, every cell set up in each ward must have an engineer to attend the grievance of the people.
