The State Directorate of Children Protection is in the process of introducing for the first time in the country, an app which can be used by the public at large to report the offences if any noticed in the public place against children below the age of 18 years at their fingertips by clicking the photos.
The public can also select the nature of offence. The information includes, the photo and the location of child victim and the said information can be immediately passed on to the Directorate of Children Protection. This app is connected to District Children Protection Centre and children helpline.
Basing on the said information the staff will rush to the protection of children and if necessary with the help of police, legal action will be initiated. This year e-identity app will shortly become available for the use of public, which can be downloaded through Google Play Store.
In the use of e- app, importance is given to secrecy about the informant. When the app is used for the first time, name, cell number, email id are necessary to be registered. When a message is passed on the child protection centre, the Directorate will ensure that the name of the information is protected and not disclosed. No harassment will be made to the informant.
The care is taken to ensure that the photos of the victim children uploaded cannot be misused in any way. The complaint regarding the offences such as sexual, children trafficking, begging, child labour, child marriage etc can be informed through this app.
