​The Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to be taken by the Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi will enter Karnataka near Gundlupet probably on 29th or 30th September after being launched in Kanyakumari on 7th September.

​While 125 Padayatris will join Mr. Gandhi for 3,500 km walk which will travel through 12 States and 2 Union Territories, it is said that 125 Congress Leaders from Karnataka will join him when Yatra travels trough Karnataka for a distance of 511 Kms in 21 days.

The details of the Bharat Jodo Yatra were shared at a joint press meet addressed by KPCC President Mr. D.K. Shivakumar and leader of the opposition in the assembly Mr. Siddaramaiah besides Bharat Jodo Yatra Coordinator in Karnataka Mr. Hariprasad.

​As per the schedule Mr. Gandhi is expected to walk from 7AM to 11AM along with local villagers and later interact with local Artists, Lawyers, Teachers, Writers, Students, Women and Youth. Padayatra will be resumed after interaction.

​The Padayatra will enter the State from Chamarajanagar and will move towards Telangana via Mysore, Mandya, Tumkur, Chitradurga, Bellary and Raichur. About 21 km will be covered daily and a public rally will be held at Bellary.
