Silver Arrows to the win in Baku, yet another goof up in Ferrari’s strategy!

-

After losing Leclerc in Q2, the Ferrari man Sebastian Vettel failed to grab pole at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. With a front row lock out for the silver arrows, it became clear that Mercedes were looking at yet another Grand Prix win. With an excellent start from Lewis Hamilton, Toto Wolff’s men were in the mood to battle for the first spot, but Valtteri Bottas kept his nerve after going wheel to wheel with the 5 time world champion. Sebastian Vettel struggled to find the pace in his SF90 with red bull’s Max Verstappen on his tail.

Ferrari’s young prodigy racer Charles Leclerc moved up to P3 in the early stages, however having started on the medium stint he was expected to pit in the early 30’s with the predicted gap of only 0.295 to Hamilton. Another miss management in the Ferrari garage saw the Monegasques behind Pierre Gasly. Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat had their moment in lap 32 and with Gasly retirement a VSC was called and thus ending all hopes of Leclerc to challenge for a P4. Sebastian Vettel finished P3 with Valtteri Bottas winning the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

With a 74 points gap in the constructors championship, Will Ferrari get their form back? Can Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc do the impossible?
